A series of twenty-two newspaper articles originally published in the Willimantic Journal in 1895 by Lloyd E. Baldwin, an eighty-five-year-old retired carpenter and builder who had lived in Willimantic since 1828. Baldwin provides a building-by-building, person-by-person tour of Willimantic as it existed in 1850, documenting early residents, mill owners, workers, churches, schools, and streets during the early Industrial Revolution. Introduced and edited by Jamie Eves.
